Most of the time Flow Pack packaging machines are used to package a single solid product. However, there is also the need for multipacks of products – both primary and secondary – in a pillow bag form, such as multipacks of croissants for example.
In order to achieve optimal product flow during multi-packaging, we designed and manufactured a Flow Pack machine with rotating end seal crimps, that integrates a servo driven conveyor with brushes – overhead conveyor – above the frame of the fin sealing wheels. The brushes lightly press on the top of the products being packaged holding them in place as they move from the film folding form to the jaws frame.
This machine is mainly used for multipacks of products, both primary and secondary, as well as to package products that are difficult to move alongside within the film, such as round fruits – apples, oranges, peaches, etc.
The packaging machine EFP FS OC has five servo driven motors for controlling machine’s main motion axes,
– infeed conveyor
– film infeed
– longitudinal sealing wheels
– overhead conveyor
– transversal sealing crimps
as well as a touch screen for entering and setting the machine’s parameters.
It is manufactured with four different jaw lengths, 180mm, 250mm, 320mm and 400mm covering a wide range of products of different dimensions.
