In our recent installation, we implemented an automated solution featuring a horizontal Flow Pack packaging machine, model APM EFP FS 15, equipped with four servo motors. This setup ensures high precision and perfect synchronization with the previous stage of the production line – the product assembly machine.
Product feeding into the Flow Pack machine is carried out by a simple yet effective pneumatic mechanism, which receives products from the output of the assembly machine and places them directly between the pushers of the Flow Pack machine.
This solution eliminates the need for human intervention during the feeding phase, enhancing hygiene and safety standards, especially since the product is intended for the pharmaceutical industry.
A key feature in this integration is the No Product – No Bag function of the packaging machine. This function ensures that the Flow Pack does not create empty packages if the assembly machine fails to supply a product.
Equally important is the proper communication between the two machines, allowing for full synchronization both during normal production and in cases of alarms or required stops.
This integrated automation solution boosts productivity, reduces operating costs, and increases the overall reliability of the packaging process.
