Flow Pack (HFFS)

Horizontal Flow Pack packaging machines (Horizontal Form Fill Seal – HFFS) are used for the hermetic packaging of solid products in pillow bag form using flexible packaging materials.

During operation, products are placed onto the infeed conveyor of the packaging machine. The packaging film – supplied in roll form – is drawn from the film feed assembly into the film folding box, wrapping around each product. Longitudinal film sealing is achieved through heated sealing wheels, while transverse sealing and cutting are performed by sealing jaws, creating a hermetically sealed package. The dispatch conveyor then transfers the packaged products to the next stage of the production process.

The Flow Pack machines manufactured by APM, in combination with auxiliary equipment – such as conveyor belts, feeding systems, printing units, labeling systems, and rotating disks – offer customized solutions for every production line.
